Following last Friday’s release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the film is seeing one of the biggest openings of all time. After crossing the $200M domestic mark on Monday, the Marvel film zoomed past $500M globally on Tuesday. It is also nearing $300M at the international box office. If you haven’t seen the work of VFX Supervisor Alexis Wajsbrot and the teams in both London and Mumbai, as well as Company 3, then make sure to get your tickets now!

Something sinister this way comes

A24 have confirmed release dates for Alex Garland’s folk horror Men, which opens in the USA next Friday, 20th May. The UK audience has to be a little more patient as the film is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, 1st June. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, give it a watch below.

Bit of a Thor point

Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi spoke to Empire magazine about Jane Foster’s character development in the latest Thor film, citing her return as is “a real mindf–k for Thor”. Read the full piece here.

Framestore Pictures comedic director Chris Waitt brought his sharp wit to the surreal and quirky new spot for Thumbtack. VFX teams across NY, LA and LDN brought the sassy talking thumb to life with a skilled character animator and compositors tracking the mouth, then integrating it into the plates – all building the visual elements that helped give the thumb its character and charm. Mumbai Cricket Tournament

What a great tournament (and celebration)! Our MUM studio held a cricket tournament with twelve teams participating. The event was spread over three days, and a total of fifteen matches were played. Congratulations to the winning team, the ‘Roto Blasters’! Take a look at the images below and the celebration that followed after.

Soccer Season in Montreal

The MTL studio has officially built a soccer team, and is celebrating last weeks 6-2 win against Rodeo FX, and this weeks 3-1 win against Gameloft. This is a really good season start, and the team is super motivated to keep on winning.
