A closer look at the Ice Titan in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters
The first three episodes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters are now available on Apple TV+. Led by VFX Supervisor, Arek Komorowski, our teams in VAN with support from MTL, have crafted the Ice Titan and the Warthog, as well as some complex FX for the action-packed 10-episode series.
The teams work was strongly commended in TVLine by client side VFX Supervisor, Sean Konrad:
โThey have this history of working on complicated monsters, so they knew what they were doing,โ he raved. โThey really brought it to life and gave it a personality.โ

That’s a Wrap on Ted
After a fantastic comment on Twitter from Seth MacFarlane last week, our MEL studio has wrapped on Ted. VFX Supervisor, Glenn Melenhorst sent a lovely email to the team thanking them for their work on the show not only the volume of shots created but the quality of the work done to continue the studios efforts from Ted 1 and 2. He also shared some more feedback from Seth saying: โI think it tops the movies. I think it tops any character work Iโve ever seen.โ
Ted is set to premier on Peacock Thursday 11 January 2024.

Dive Deep into the Dawn of Barbie
Befores and Afters spoke to Barbie’s VFX Supervisor, Glen Pratt this week to find out more about how the FPS team were involved in paying homage to one of the most iconic film sequences of the 20th century. Variety | Netflixโs โThe Crownโ Season 6 debut’s at No. 1
Variety reports that part 1 of The Crown Season 6 has recaptured its throne as the number 1 viewed show in its debut week – pulling in 11.1 million views and reaching the top 10 in over 85 counties.
Part 2 of the final season will premier on Thursday 14 December.

LDN | Fleet Street Quarter Panel
This week Stephanie Bruning our Global Marketing Director took part in a panel for the Fleet Street Quarter’s (FSQ) Era of Change. A new public strategy was launched to over 70 FSQ businesses, members and key stakeholders at a panel event hosted at Goldman Sachs European HQ. Chaired by Oliver Shah from the Sunday Times, Stephanie and five other panelists discussed how the proposed changes would impact the area and what new opportunities business such as our LDN studio could gain from the area.


Bulletproof | Manifest
Stephanie Bruning, Global Marketing Director also helped kick off the Manifest event in the London HQ of Bulletproof. She shared insights in how to Reframe the Possible and Framstore’s approach to manifesting success. Other creatives including Lucky Generals, Lego and artist Lucy Sparrow also presented during the event.

British Arrows Jury Drinks

An Egg-cellent Q&A in LDN
This week Sam Fell, the director of Chicken Run 2: Dawn of the Nugget came to our LDN studio this week to give a presentation and Q&A on the epic comedy sequel to the much loved classic of stop-motion animation. Sam was joined in the studio with the stars of the film – bringing with him the puppets for Rocky, Ginger, Mrs Tweedy and a new character Molly.

ILM vs Framestore Friendly
Framestore’s LDN football team kicked off their pre-season with a friendly match against ILM last night (with more matches to come) in the build up to the VFL (Visual Football League) Hopefully kicking off from March 2024. It was a really tough game against a good side and it came to a 3-3 draw.
