Tudum? Ta-Da!

Netflix’s annual fan event, TUDUM, took place in Brazil. The annual showcase was star-studded and packed with exclusive news, never-before-seen footage, trailers, and first looks.

Zack Snyder offered a behind-the-scenes look of his two-part galactic adventure, Rebel Moon. Our teams in MTL and VAN, led by VFX Supervisors Bob Winter and Bryan Litson, are currently producing complex work that includes creating breathtaking environments and spectacular creatures.
Rebel Moon Part 1 is scheduled for release on Netflix on December 22.

Heart of Stone

The show concluded with Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, and Alia Bhatt debuting a new trailer for Heart of Stone. The trailer showcases complex sequences delivered by our team in VAN. Heart of Stone hits Netflix on Aug. 11

One Piece

Netflix unveiled a first look at One Piece, the live action adaptation of the most popular manga in history, written by Eiichiro Oda. Featuring VFX by our IA Episodic team, One Piece sets sail on August 31st.

Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity

This week, we soaked up the sun at the 70th Annual Cannes Lions Festival. Eugénie von Tunzelmann delivered a keynote speech on the future of immersive entertainment, while Stephanie Bruning and Krystina Wilson participated in panel discussions organized by our friends at LBB.

International Yoga Day

To celebrate International Yoga Day, two of MUM’s team members from Composting – Shivsharan Manshetti & Manoj Sarkar – very kindly agreed to conduct a very peaceful and mindful yoga session for everyone in the studio.

MTL get their steps in

This Wednesday, close to 50 people in the Montreal team started the Framestore Stairs Challenge. The idea is to avoid taking the elevator as much as possible and use the stairs instead. The challenge will be taking place the entire Summer season. In only a day, the group of athletes managed to climb together the equivalent of the Grand Canyon. See you all in the staircase! 

Some of the team also stopped by the ISART gala to see the graduation projects of the 2023 class.

Framesquad stays cheerful

Another really tight and well fought game by Framesquad this week, unfortunately conceding 37-32. Special shout out to the supporters Justine, Barthelemy, Jerome and Yanis whose cheerleading fired up the team’s spirit to fight until the end!  

Flamestorming ahead

Flamestorm scored their second win of the season, this time against Wieden+Kenedy. The score was tight throughout, but Flamestorm managed to stay on top with their superior batting skills, and shut down the opposition to deliver a hard-earnt win with a final score of 22-19. Special shout out to Connor Jarvis for his amazing line drive catch at shortstop, and Dan Glass for his multiple home run hits.

National Indigenous Peoples Day in VAN

VAN brought their culinary expertise to the table this Thursday, offering up a delectable array of homemade treats at our bake sale in support of Full Circle, a non-profit empowering Indigenous artists throughout BC.

They also enjoyed a delicious BBQ under the sun on the newly revamped rooftop patio. Bring on summer!

MEL bingo-call the shots

Drag Bingo was on the cards for the team in MEL this week. The team did us proud by winning the first game of bingo, earning a round of shots for their table.
