Santander
Brian Cox narrates a series of ‘sliding doors’ moments between strangers in a new campaign for Santander’s UK corporate and commercial banking arm. Directed by Tom Hooper, the spot features compositing and environment DMP work by Framestore, which included transforming Warsaw into New York.
National Lottery
The National Lottery’s latest campaign is a joyful tale of love and winning that follows protagonists Edward and Isaac across three decades. Directed by Tom Hooper and created by adam&eveDDB, ‘Pockets’ features VFX by Framestore, and is an evolution of the brands award-winning festive ad ‘A Christmas Love Story’.
Sky Stream
Framestore’s long-standing relationship with Sky Creative continues with ‘Signs Alley’, the latest spot for Sky Stream. To represent the freedom and ease of the new streaming box, obstacles are transformed into bursts of colourful dust particles in the Sky spectrum colours. The spectrum burst was created in CG with the VFX complementing the in-camera practical effects.
And Just Like That..
To commemorate the milestone of 25 years of Sex and the City and celebrate the upcoming season two premiere of And Just Like That, Max will provide fans with an opportunity to immerse themselves in TV’s most fabulous franchise with the “And Just Like That…It’s Been 25 Years, A Sex and the City Experience.” To execute the experience, Max teamed up with our Immersive team to bring to life this experience, taking you on a journey through Carrie’s most iconic looks over the years. The pop-up experience is now open to the public in New York City’s Soho neighborhood until Sunday, June 11th.

The CHI team presented their Virtual Production capabilities to Stellantis direct at SMASH Virtual in Chicago this week. They were joined by the heads of Advertising from Stellantis agencies across the US including Jeep, RAM Trucks, Dodge, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler and Fiat.

We’ve had 3 special visitors at our MUM studio this week – Sally Spencer, Global Head of Resourcing, Natalie Miller, VFX Producer & Nathan McConnel, Animation Supervisor.
Nathan gave a very interesting talk on ‘How to Create Believable Performances with Digital Characters’ led by examples from two of MUM’s most popular shows – Fantastic Beasts & Guardians of the Galaxy.

Our interns started their new roles in VAN and MTL this week, across Production, Modelling, FX, ATD and Compositing.


Flamestorm’s First Match
The sun was finally out in LDN and that can only mean one thing – it’s softball Time! Flamestorm started the season this week with a big VFX grudge match against bitter rivals MPC, and after falling behind early on managed to pull back to 21-21 by the start of the final inning. It went the distance with the winning run at the plate, but we fell just short 25 – 26 to MPC.
Congratulations to all our new recruits, and welcome back to our exceptional returning players, it’s going to be a good season!
