Enmity Djinn
As part of Netflix’s ‘African Folktales, Reimagined’ short film anthology in partnership with UNESCO, our very own Mohamed Echkouna created and directed the 17-minute film ‘Enmity Djinn‘. Based on local Mauritanian Djinn folktales, the story follows an ancient Enmity Djinn three generations after he was last summoned, finding himself in an unfamiliar city confronted by a familiar foe. Mohammed partnered with the NY team on approximately 64 VFX shots, including two key sequences and the ethereal look of the Djinn character throughout the film. Enmity Djinn is streaming on Netflix now!

The NY team also took the time out to celebrate their colleague’s brilliant work with a special viewing party…
