Let’s join the fun
Get ready for Jason Momoa to take you on a fantastical journey into the secret world of Slumberland. The film hits limited theatres today before its release on Netflix and features the superb work by our geniuses in MTL, MUM and FPS. We cannot wait to see what you created!
Jason Momoa also attended the premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday and brought the Slumberland pig with him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t bring his own real-life pig to the premiere as he had hoped. What a fantastic pig-ture!

An epic return of royal drama
The fifth season of The Crown landed this week, with Framestore returning to deliver VFX and environment work across iconic moments such as the Windsor Castle fire, the decommissioning of The Royal Yacht Britannia, and the handover of Hong Kong. Congratulations to our LDN team on their amazing work!
A galactic Christmas
Huge congratulations to our teams who delivered The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special this week! It was a true multi-site show, and a complete success thanks to all the amazing talent involved! MTL was involved in building Knowhere, Groot and Cosmo, MUM helped in multiple departments including CFX, tracking and P&R, and VAN delivered the animation final for the whole project. The team in MEL took on 17 comp shots as we hit the last two weeks of the project as another and, of course, the LDN team delivered 230 amazing shots. Make sure to tune in to Disney+ on November 25th!
Gifts that Give
Framestore has partnered with House 337 to deliver VFX across Marks & Spencer’s feel-good festive campaign ‘Gifts that Give‘. Directed by Michael Gracey (the Greatest Showman), the campaign celebrates the generosity behind an M&S gift and will see the retail giant donate £1 million to the Neighbourly Foundation, a charity that supports local community causes across the UK. Framestore was tasked with embellishing a winter wonderland, brimming with christmassy nostalgia and the campaign was graded by Steffan Perry, at Company3.
The Alternative Christmas List
Framestore and Leo Burnett celebrate moments of togetherness in McDonald’s festive campaign, directed by Academy Award winner Tom Hooper. ‘The List’ tells the story of a little boy named Alfie, who gets carried away with the excitement of writing a Christmas List, before realising that it’s the little shared moments that really matter. Framestore’s work included creating the Christmas list in CG, and giving the ad a touch of festive magic by frosting up and replacing green trees, blowing leaves and adding an abundance of Christmas decorations.
Unwrap the Magic
Holiday style just got magical as H&M’s festive campaign sees Framestore help transform ‘Brasserie Hennes’ into a disco-inspired snowscape for the holidays — it’s cosy, inviting and buzzing with festive excitement.
