Are you good or evil?
Netflix released the official trailer for The School for Good & Evil which follows best friends Sophie and Agatha, who find themselves on opposing sides of a modern fairy tale when they’re swept away to an enchanted school where young heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance of good and evil. A story with the perfect pitch
Sony Pictures Entertainment is introducing us to Lyle, a crocodile who hits all the right notes in a newly released film clip. Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile features work by our talented MEL studio and will hits theatres on 7th October. The wait is almost over!
As the cherry on top, Sony Pictures Entertainment also released the official film poster featuring lead actors Javier Bardem and Constance Wu.

Dream Big
Our LDN team joined forces with Saatchi & Saatchi to deliver ‘Dream Big’, a collaborative project between EE and Apple. Directed by the acclaimed Noam Murro, co-founder of Biscuit Films, the spot makes use of Framestore’s VFX prowess and the specialist grading skills of Jean-Clément Soret at Company 3, to showcase the new iPhone 14. Congratulations to everyone involved!
Reading with McDonald’s
In collaboration with Leo Burnett, our LDN team worked on this newly released McDonald’s Trust spot highlighting the company’s commitment to provide all children with books. The team beautifully animated several aspects of the spot including a bluebird and flowers, as well as the butterfly and crocodile shadows. The spot was elegantly graded by Simon Bourne at Company 3.

In conversation with SYFY Wire, Thor: Love and Thunder VFX Supervisor Jake Morrison revealed how pop star Taylor Swift inspired the screaming goats and includes a nice shoutout to our team at Framestore. Aaaaaah!

In other news
Head of Animation Daniel Mizuguchi, Head of Production Jinnie Pak, and Senior Recruitment Manager Barry Crossan from the VAN studio attended SPARK: RELOADED on 17th September. It was great to meet with recent graduates and professionals in the VFX industry and tell them all about Framestore’s work and career opportunities. We look forward to attending the next SPARK event in November!

VES Pub Night
The September VES Pub night was a great success! The VAN VFX community is strong and attendees enjoyed a night out with old friends and new. The next VES Pub Night in Vancouver is October 25th, open for members and non members alike. Keep your eyes peeled for an invite in the upcoming weeks!


Apple Picking in MTL
The MTL social team organised an apple picking outing at Domaine LaFrance last week. Taking advantage of the sunny day, the team enjoyed picking and savoring incredible apples with family and friends.
