Thor booms at box office
Forbes reports that Thor: Love and Thunder is racing past $400 million worldwide, and Variety is also reporting of its immense box office boom. This is a fabulous achievement for our talented teams in MUM, VAN, MTL and LDN, and a statement of the amazing work produced by Framestore. If you haven’t seen the film yet then make sure take a look at the trailer, and get your tickets!
Man vs Bee
The Man vs Bee case study is live on our website (make sure to check it out). Animation Express covered our work on the series as we delivered over 600 VFX shots. Lead actor Rowan Atkinson had some nice words to share with the world: “Framestore and their work, as ever, was exemplary. The show was conceived and produced during Covid-19, so its scheduling was extremely challenging, but Framestore could not have been more helpful to the production and diligent in their dogged pursuit of excellence. The results, I think, are astonishing”. If you haven’t watched it yet then take a look at the trailer below and start bingeing!
Thor’s Next Door
Framestore’s NY studio reprised its long standing relationship with GEICO and The Martin Agency to celebrate the release of Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder. The team used Houdini to recreate lighting effects, photoshop to create the basis for the Bifrost imprint, and Nuke to composit to completion.
Travelers Insurance
Our NY and LA studios collaborated with TBWA\CHIAT\DAY and director Peter Thwaites for a series of Travelers Insurance spots that view disaster recovery through the eyes of children. The team’s work largely involved invisible VFX, helping to create extra destruction in key scenes as well as a range of green screen comps, matte paintings and cleanup of environment shots.
