We’re proud beyond belief that the Kiyan Prince campaign Long Live The Prince has won the prestigious Cannes Lions Titanium Grand Prix. The Titanium award celebrates ‘provocative, boundary-busting, envy-inspiring work that marks a new direction for the industry and moves it forward’. It was an absolute honour to collaborate with Engine London and be part of a groundbreaking campaign. Congratulations to our team, partners and clients on this achievement!

Man Vs Bee

In collaboration with Netflix and Silk Factory, we also worked on this hilarious Man Vs Bee trailer directed by Murray Butler for Framestore Pictures, featuring our un-bee-lievable work on the show.

Groot expectations

To celebrate the release of the I Am Groot animated series from Marvel Studios set to stream on Disney+, Marvel and Wonderful Pistachios tapped our LA animation team to bring the beloved character to life. Check out this classy shot, featuring Managing Director Akhauri P. Sinha, Recruitment Manager Nikita Nabanita, Head of Technical Operations Manpreet Singh, Prashant Nair, CG Supervisor, Siddharth Bhagwat, Head of Production, Kartiki Patil, Head of Resources, Rohit Agarwal, HoD Tracking and Ravi Pareek, Compositing Supervisor to name just a few!

Life sketching classes in MUM

The MUM studio has embarked on a series of life sketching classes, as part of plans to foster talent, creativity and learning. They’ve hosted several classes already, which they’re calling ‘Frame Your Talent’. What a lovely idea!

Can’t help falling in love

The MEL studio came together last week for a private viewing of the recently released Elvis. It’s fantastic to see the team’s amazing work come together on the big screen. Afterwards, they shared a few drinks and nibbles – hope no one spilled anything on their blue suede shoes!

Congratulations on 40 years

Massive congratulations to HR Admin Manager Margaret Phillips’ (MEL) 40th work anniversary with the company! The team got together for the first time in ages and jumped at the opportunity for a photo. Simon Rosenthal said: “Margaret Phillips recently celebrated 40 years in our business which is an extraordinary effort, particularly given she must have started when she was 5. In various roles over the 40 years, whether it be at AAV, Digital Pictures, DDP, PAX Entertainment, Iloura, Digital Picture Iloura, Method Studios and now Framestore, Margaret has been an absolute rock – dependable, loyal, committed and engaged and for this we are truly thankful. Here’s to another 40 years and then you can retire!”

MTL Social

Last Saturday, some of our MTL colleagues went out for their first activity of the season as they spent the day at La Ronde, a local theme park. This was followed by a mind-blowing drone show, as well as a 30-minute series of fireworks. This looks amazing guys!

MTL Soccer

It was the MTL soccer team’s game 9 of 14 this week, facing Gameloft for the second time. The weather wasn’t in their favour with afternoon showers making the pitch a giant slip ’n’ slide. It was a good start from both teams with great chances at both ends of the pitch including diving saves. Luis put the team on the scoreboard for the lead which was followed by an epic long range shot from Victor with a slight deflection that caused an own goal from Gameloft. With additional goals from Jules, Gary, Noam and another from Luis the game finished at 6-1. Next week, the team faces DNEG for match 10, which is a very strong team, so they’ll have to pull out all the stops!

That’s it for this week! Please remember that your colleagues in Montreal and Vancouver are celebrating Canada day today and the US teams will be celebrating Independence Day on Monday.
