We Hit A Bullseye at the British Arrows
We’re excited to have won two awards at the prestigious British Arrows awards ceremony last night, including Gold for Innovation and Immersive Experiences for Long Live the Prince and Silver for Animation 2D & Stop Motion for #wombstories. These wins demonstrate the groundbreaking work being created by our amazing talent, and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone involved. Congratulations are also in order to Company 3’s Jean-Clément Soret who won Bronze in the Colourist category for BlackRock, i-Shares.

Before heading off to the ceremony, some Framestore and Company 3 attendees met up for a quick photoshoot and you all looked amazing!

Accio premiere!
The Wizarding World descended on central London this week, as the stars aligned for the Fantastic Beasts: The Secret of Dumbledore premiere. Eddie Redmayne and Co received a warm welcome on the red carpet, hosted by Slytherin alumni Tom Felton. Watch all the action here:
We’re also the lucky recipient of some BTS images of the premiere from the show’s Overall VFX Supervisor Christian Manz, who spent time with our favourite wizards. Consider us jealous!
A bit of all-Knight
Variety has some warm words for the first four episodes of Moon Knight, the new Disney+ Marvel show starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke (and also, of course, featuring work from our FPS and LDN VFX teams). “There’s a freshness to it that’s enticing even for those outside the fandom,” says chief TV critic Daniel D’Addario, who also commends the show’s “high-stepping riskiness.” You can read the full review here.
Huge congratulations to Vincent Aupetit and the FPS team, who provided previs across all six episodes, as well as VFX Supe Stu Penn and team. As the main VFX provider for the series, Stu’s team have been working across 550+ shots of brilliant final VFX that include everything from epic environments to standout CG characters, plus plenty of supernatural thrills and chills besides.
Here’s some of our favourite reactions to the explosive first episode (skip this to stay spoiler-free!).
Moonfall
Check out how our MTL team from Moonfall created complex space shots including the ‘First Mission’ opening sequence, a terrifying nano swarm and, of course, the moon itself with this new case study here.
Intercontinental Exchange
Anh Vu of Framestore Pictures directed Intercontinental Exchange’s first ever commercial as part of its Make the Connection campaign, featuring a global cast of business and entertainment influencers. The spot was finished with the help of our NY VFX team and Company 3 for a fabulous grade. Check out some BTS images of Anh and the team on set!

March Madness
In a star-studded lineup for March Madness, Charles Barkley, Samuel L Jackson, Magic Johnson, and Spike Lee are back in a series of spots for Capital One, directed by Spike himself. Our CHI team worked on five spots, each presenting their own unique challenges — from full background environment builds and crowd duplication, to placing glasses on a rabbit, giving Magic his own mystical flare, and comping Jim Nantz into a separately shot scene.
Persil ProClean
Airing during this year’s Oscars broadcast, Persil hit the small screen with an action-packed sequence fit for 007. Shot on the rooftops of Mexico City, our NY studio was tasked with building a washing machine drum featured in the opening scene, removed background wires and cranes, and comped the stunt team to resemble the final talent.
McDonald’s Big Tasty
Our LDN team collaborated on another mouthwatering McDonald’s spot including a grade by Steffan Perry. We can’t wait to get our hands on this Big Tasty!
Guess you Hadid to be there
Bardia Zeinali worked with our LDN team to deliver a glamorous H&M spring/summer 2022 campaign featuring Gigi Hadid.
Method News
Coming in hot
Top Gun fans were treated to a trailer for the hotly anticipated sequel, with Maverick himself sharing the video on social media. The film soars into cinemas from the end of May, featuring some lovely work from the MTL Method team.
Awards
AdAge Creativity Awards
We’re super excited to have been nominated for the AdAge Creativity Awards ‘VFX Company of the Year’ finalist.
Everyones Fan Favourite
While Sunday’s Oscars might have everyone talking for all the wrong reasons, we’re choosing to keep things positive with news that one of the newest categories – the voted-for-by-actual-humans ‘Fan Favourite’ category – saw Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead bring home the bacon. This, of course, featured brain-melting VFX work from our talented team in Montreal. Read all about it here.

[FRAMED]
This week, we introduce you to Leonardo David Sierra Montiel, Lead Compositor (MTL). He’s Chewbacca’s biggest fan (we’re not kidding) and can’t stop thinking about Colombian cuisine.
