The week that’s filled with sneak peeks (4.3.22)

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Warner Bros. treated us to a second trailer for its upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, showcasing some of the VFX wizardry from our LDN and MTL teams, led by overall VFX Supervisor Christian Manz. We can’t wait for the film to arrive on the big screen next month!

The Baby

We are excited to get a sneak peak of our LDN teams hard work on HBO’s upcoming horror comedy The Baby. The series follows 38-year-old Natasha who is unexpectedly landed with a baby, her life of doing what she wants, when she wants, dramatically implodes. Controlling, manipulative and with violent powers, the baby twists Natasha’s life into a horror show. You know what they say about baby FX – it’s all about the delivery.

Dark side of the Moon (Knight)

Could Marvel tease us any more? The studio released a new Moon Knight poster this week and we can’t wait to finally watch it on 30th March when episode one arrives on Disney+!

We are excited to work with Netflix on Slumberland, an upcoming American fantasy comedy-adventure film. Based on the comic book series Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay, the film follows a young girl (Marlow Barkley) as she discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and traverses through dreams with the hope of reuniting with her late father. Starring the dreamy Jason Momoa, this one promises to be the opposite of a snooze-fest.

The School for Good and Evil

Our LDN and MTL teams are currently working on The School for Good and Evil which is an upcoming fantasy film, based on Soman Chainani’s hit middle grade six-book series of the same name. The story follows Sophie and Agatha, two best friends who are spirited away from their small village of Gavaldon and taken to the School for Good and Evil.

Hummer’s crustacean celebration

Alex Thomas (LA) creatively directed a team on a new GMC spot for Hummer, just in time for March Madness. It features King (LeBron) James as the King of CrabWalk and a cohesive consortium of friendly CG crustaceans.

Super Pumped

We’re Super Pumped about the first title sequence to be led and produced out of our CHI office! Jake Cuddihy and Chris Friesen steered the design team for the show depicting Uber’s notorious founder, creating hazy, shadowy scenes with bolts of long exposure bokeh and headlights, and mixing vignettes with a procedural, illuminating, glassy, data-driven San Francisco. You can catch new episodes on Showtime every Sunday night.

Fantastic Beasts: A Natural History

Congratulations to the team for brining Niffler to life on Fantastic Beasts: A Natural History staring Stephen Fry which has gone live on BBC iPlayer.
