BAFTA’s Longlist 2022
The longlist for this year’s BAFTA’s was revealed this week, with No Time to Die, Don’t Look Up, The King’s Man, The Matrix Resurrections, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and The Suicide Squad all scoring a spot. Method feature Shangi-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings also made the list. Amazing news for everyone! The final five nominees will be announced on 3rd February.
Into the Multiverse
Spider-Man fans got a first peek at Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in the form of a post-credits teaser, which Marvel have now posted online. There’s already excitement building in the twitterverse, as Screen Rant shared that re-shoots officially wrapped this week. VFX Supe Alexis Wajsbrot (LDN) is overseeing our contribution to the madness, roll on 6th May!

Love and Thunder and.. Super Powers?
Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in Method and Framestore project Thor: Love and Thunder, spilled the beans to W Magazine this week, letting them in on her character’s specialist set of skills.
Top Gun: Maverick
Tom Cruise has some fresh new wing-men in a newly released still from Top Gun: Maverick. Cruise’s new recruits are Hangman (Glen Powell) Rooster (Miles Teller), and Phoenix (Monica Barbaro). The image was released by USA Today as part of their 10 most must-see movies of 2022, which also gives a nod to Moonfall, Downton Abbey: A New Era, Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Plus, Netflix treated us to a little BTS glimpse this week of acting queen Meryl Streep improvising the phone call her character takes while leaving Leo and JLaw in a state of shock and panic.
