The week we’re up to our old (Ma)trix (10.09.21)

The Matrix Resurrections

The day has come… Neo and Trinity reunite for a trip back to The Matrix in the official trailer for the franchise’s fourth instalment. Our LDN team delivered a whole bag of (ma)trix, including breath-taking action, environments, and digi-double work.

Don’t Look Up

Our MTL artists delivered almost 150 VFX shots for black comedy, Don’t Look Up. The team were responsible for a wealth of note-perfect environment and FX work, and we just can’t wait to see the finished film!

The movie is Directed by Adam McKay (the brilliant mind behind Anchorman and The Big Short) and will hit cinemas and Netflix in December.

Rivalling the impressive A-lister count in Ocean’s 12, the star-studded cast includes *deep breath* Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Meryl Streep, Rob Morgan, Timothée Chalamet, Himesh Patel, Kid Cudi, Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, and Chris Evans.

“I thought, what if Fyre Festival was a person and that person had power in the White House….”

Libresse #Wombstories

It wouldn’t be an understatement to say that the boundary-smashing Libresse #Wombstories cleaned up at multiple awards ceremonies this year, and we’ve got even more good news.

This week the campaign has gone on to win a Grand Prix at Creative Pool awards and has taken home the prestigious Gold of Golds at the Creative Circle Awards. A huge congrats to Creative Director Sharon Lock and the team for the project’s continued success! Here’s to breaking barriers and awards records!

Facebook – That Close

The LA team used 2D Flame conform, compositing, finishing graphics and animation techniques to complete the films that charmingly show the app’s evolution. To top it all off Beau Leon (LA) adds that marvellous finishing touch with a colour grade.
