D&AD Award Winners
We’re delighted to announce that this year’s D&AD Awards has recognised Libresse ‘#Wombstories’ with the prestigious Black Pencil for Art Direction, Film as well as a further 8 awards including a Yellow Pencil for Animation. In addition to this Toyota ‘Upstream’ received a Graphite Pencil for Art Direction, Film. Congratulations to all the teams who worked on both of these incredible projects.
Thor: Love and Thunder
Chris Hemsworth and his tiny biceps announced filming for the next instalment of the Thor franchise has wrapped. With the movie due for release next May 2022, our LDN teams are hard at work adding some of that world-class Framestore VFX.
Sports Direct – Just a Game?!
If you sat down to watch the UEFA Champions League final, hopefully you caught the new light-hearted Sports Direct ad which aired just before kick off. The LDN IA and design teams delivered invisible 2D elements, the unique heart design sequence and the full-sized stadium, with added final grade by Simon Bourne (LDN). Read more on our website.

When life gives you lemons, Mike makes Hard Lemonade. The US teams delivered environments work for a series of spots telling us just how this drink originated.
Army of the Dead
The super-talented VFX Supe Bob Winter (MTL) and production VFX Supe Marcus Taormina, gave this insightful Befores&Afters piece on creating Valentine, Army Of The Dead‘s infamous zombie tiger (Ziger?!). On that, we’d like to give a shout out to the Anim Supe, Hennadii Prykhodko (MTL) who also poured blood sweat & tears into Valentine’s creation.
Side note: Bob was interviewed by local TV network Global News – stay tuned for his upcoming on-screen appearance.
Digital Trends delves into how VFX Supe Joao Sita and the MTL team digitally dropped Tig Notaro into the zombie madness a whole year after Zack Synder wrapped filming. Read more on how they expertly executed the work here.

Head to our intranet and find the ‘Branding’ app which will direct you to our wiki page. Under Email Footers click ‘How to format your email footer’. You’ll see an option to add your pronouns in the drop down menu as below.
