The enchanting tale of Jingle Jangle called for a skilful mix of storybook wonder, intricate CG craftsmanship and heartfelt emotional resonance… enter Framestore. Our skilful teams from MTL (VFX) and LDN (IA and FPS) set to work built captivating CG characters, spellbinding environments and a deftly interlocking storybook which draws the film together into one big exquisite Christmas family adventure. Think The Greatest Showman, only far more festive… what’s not to love?

Aesthetica Short Film Festival
VFX Supe Stuart Penn joined an impressive line-up of speakers at ASFF last weekend to talk about his varied career in VFX, as well as the increasing role of VFX companies as film becomes ever more ambitious.

Infinity Festival
Infinity Festival, where Hollywood meets Silicon Valley, went digital this year, and Senior Creative Technologist Johannes Saam (LA) and CG Supe, Chris Eckardt (LA) took part in panels alongside HP to discuss the future of remote collaboration and AI for creators. Comp Supe Laureline Silan and Comp Lead Laurianne Proud’hon (MTL) recently completed an extensive leadership training programme organised by the Quebec Film and Television Council and UQAC which aim to increase the number of female artists in supervision roles. A big WELL DONE!

Femmes Alpha
Audrey Talbot Guilbert (Paint and roto artist) participated in a Panel on the opportunities in digital creativity. Panel was hosted by ‘the virtual summit of Alpha Women’ and was about demystifying the VFX industry and encouraging more women to join the industry.
