ADC Awards
Apple Bounce – a project created in collaboration with agency TBWA – has won Best In Show, two Best of Discipline designations—one in Advertising, another in Motion/Film/Gaming Craft—and four Gold Cubes at this year’s ADC Awards, hosted virtually by The One Club. Congratulations to all the brilliant minds behind this project!

D&AD Awards
Apple Bounce has also been shortlisted in several categories, as has Wall Street Journal’s Read Yourself Better for Visual Effects for D&AD Awards. Winners will be announced online in the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for the results!
The First Team
The First Team, a new football (a.k.a. ‘soccer’) comedy from the creators of The Inbetweeners kicked off this week on the BBC. Framestore’s LDN team delivered some crowd work throughout the series, as well as a visual gag involving a pretty large dent in someone’s head. Read more about the work we did here.

What we’ve been up to
Global MD, Film, Fiona Walkinshaw, took part in a panel session for Screen International, chatting to execs from ILM and Weta Digital about how the VFX industry has adapted to lockdown and what the future holds. She praised the resilience of Framestore’s workforce, and highlighted how work on major feature films is being delivered from home.

His Dark Materials
We were lucky enough to host a special FTV session featuring both the writer and producer of His Dark Materials yesterday. Producer and co-founder of Bad Wolf Studios Jane Tranter praised Framestore’s creative input, while writer Jack Thorne (who also penned Framestore projects The Aeronauts and The Secret Garden) likened the process to the highly-collaborative world of theatre.
