Two Framestore projects have been shortlisted for this year’s @thewebbyawards! The judges are clearly big GoT fans, because both of our nominees hail from Westeros: the ‘Beyond the Wall’ VR experience and ‘The Dead Must Die’ @magicleap experience. Congratulations to everyone involved!

The LDN IA team worked on this spot for national treasure Captain Tom Moore to honour his 100th birthday. He set out to raise £1000 and ended up raking in a cool £30mil.

His Dark Materials
To prove that the marketing team hasn’t got trust issues, we handed over the reins of the company twitter account to Russ Dodgson (LDN), who joined last weekend’s His Dark Materials tweet-along with cast and crew.
We’re big fans of ‘VFX Artists React…”, so it was great to see Framestore getting some love – the trio were genuinely astounded by the care and detail that we put into His Dark Materials.
You might not be able to see the film just yet, but our work on Mulan is featured in the latest edition of CINEFEX. Key to the team’s role across 320 shots includes creating the mythical Phoenix, a number of action-packed performances paying homage to Hong-Kong cinema as well as impressive, dreamy landscapes.
The lines are blurring for VFX Supe, Steve Drew (NY) who was making shot review notes on the town hall this week. Quarantine gets to the best of us, Steve.
