What we’ve been up to

Sustainability Week

This week the LDN office have been encouraging Framestorians to recycle properly and make more sustainable life choices. The week began with ‘Recycling Day’, where we were joined by PicUp: London, created by our very own Lighting TD Alastair Cross (LDN) who raise awareness of the vast amounts of litter on our streets. Also in attendance was Sustainable Advantage, a waste management company who were there to educate staff on how to correctly dispose of different types of waste.

Wednesday was ‘Cycle Day’ where staff could participate in cycle skill sessions to improve their confidence when cycling on the road and could take their bike for a free MOT. On ya bike.

Today LDN hosted the Sustainability Market Fair, comprised of sustainability-focused retailers selling everything from organic lip balms and beeswax wraps to bamboo cutlery and ethical clothing.

Veganuary

Beating Winter Blues

Mindfulness in the Workplace visited the LDN office for a session around Beating the January Blues. The session discussed how you can maintain your mental and physical wellbeing during the dark, cold winter days. Advice was to eat well, sleep well and try and take in some direct sunlight every day between 12 and 2pm when the sun is highest as this has an immediate effect on your energy and wellbeing.
