The week we party (20.12.19)

Oscars

This week the Oscar VFX Shortlist was released and THREE films we worked on have made the top ten. They are:

Captain Marvel
Avengers: Endgame
Alita: Battle Angel

We’re keeping everything crossed for the nominees which will be announced in early in the New Year.

His Dark Materials

Don’t miss the big finale of His Dark Materials this weekend!

We’ve released some sublime breakdowns from last week’s episode, including the epic bear fight between Iofur and Iorek – which has received over 10k views on Twitter – and the transformation of Wales into the icy North. Keep your eyes peeled on our channels for more content next week – just in time for the holidays.

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol was broadcast last night in the US and starts this Sunday on BBC One at 9pm in the UK. A huge project for the television team, Framestore was the sole VFX creative partner and in the words of the series producer ‘integral to the creative vision of the show.’

A huge congratulations to the team for their hard work and tune in at 9pm on BBC One or catch up on FX’s online services.
