A New Realm in Gaming
Co-directed by Ian Bradley and Gigi Ng, the newest Alienware spot out of VMLY&R New York saw the NYC team use a blend of CG and 2D effects to create a striking and out-of-this-world look.
We’re having a propa brew
This week saw some ads what were done proper in some Sean Bean and Dynamo-fronted commercials for Yorkshire Tea. The advertising team in LDN did some general clean up, a colour grade and may have needed to remove some wires on ‘magician’ Dynamo. I hate to break it to you, but he can’t really fly.
The witching hour is upon us
This week Netflix gave us our first official look at Henry Cavill as a monster hunter with supernatural powers in The Witcher. Our LDN television team are getting busy working on environments for the upcoming series.
The LA and NY teams worked on this latest spot Bounce by Apple has drummed up lots of positive press. The tech giants were recently deemed Creative Marketer of the Year at last month’s Cannes Lions Festival.
It was a pleasure to host Professor Hugh Lewis in the LDN office for his talk, ‘Beyond Gravity’ – revisiting the issue of Space Debris (as brought to life with our Oscar-winning film Gravity) and the importance of awareness around this (terrifying) environmental problem.
Professor Hugh was introduced by our very own CCO Tim Webber (who happens to know a thing or two about the film) and stuck around for an hour-long Q&A … just in case he didn’t know how much we love talking about space 💁
Director, Global Talent Development, Andrew Schlussel (LDN) spoke to a diverse group of business leaders, creatives, and government at India Inc.’s Leaders’ Summit.
Not had enough Endgame content yet? Nah, us either. Download and listen to this recent episode of Fictional Frontiers (a US radio and podcast show specialising on the comic book universe) featuring our very own Rob Allman (CG Supervisor on the film).
Happy 4th of July to all the American Framestorians. to celebrate, CHI had an ice cream party because there are no three words that go better together.
Last week the LDN office hosted a successful Summer Fair in the cafe, inviting several different vendors to take part. Staff poured in to spend their cash on everything from plants and jewellery to soaps and jams.
Nathan Pinard, you’ve been [Framed]. Our Producer, Nathan (MTL) spills the goss on his most dazzling qualities, his dreams and apparently he makes a mean cheesecake (but please don’t chew it loudly near him). Read it all here

Happy Canada Day!
Our Canadian counterparts celebrated Canada Day lat Monday 1st July. Now.. what exactly is it? The technical explanation: a day to mark the anniversary of the effective date of the Constitution Act, 1867. But of course it also means it’s a day to celebrate with fireworks, parades, etc – the full works.
Catch you next week. Ciao Ciao for now.
