Twitter has been an explosion of melting hearts, gleeful sobs and adoring fans. Have we out-festived the festive favourites ‘John-Lewis’? I think so. Aldi’s ‘Kevin the Carrot’ ain’t got nothin’ on us either. Congratulations to all involved for being so supremely talented!
Have a look at some reviews:
The Daily Mail: “the best so far”
The Independent: “most festive”
The Evening Standard: “better than John Lewis”
Damn straight, Hannah.
We’ve even got Aldi capitalising on us:
Besides enjoying the vino, Christian Manz had the audience under his spell with his presentation at Autodesk in Paris showcasing Framestore’s work recreating the city, the snake transformation and conjuring Hogwarts’ Great Hall. There was great feedback from customers following Christian’s presentation and Q&A session.
Check out some of the Fantastic reviews for the film following it’s release :

Caught on Camera: Montreal
To the West, we’ve had not two, not three but FOUR Framestore faces grace the screens of Global News live TV broadcast.
Global News were behind the scenes from 6am-9am yesterday. Chloe was interviewed discussing VFX and the ever-expanding Montreal team.
Head of Creature Effects, James Nicholl, was next to be caught on camera to show the process of VFX from storyboard to the big screen.
Laurence made her cameo showcasing some VR equipment
and last but not least we have a new weather woman amongst us:
Hip-hop Hype Man (aka Simon Whalley)
Having been the warm-up guy for talks by Andy Serkis and Tony Blair at LeapCon and Websummit, Simon Whalley finally hit the big time this week Martin Sorrell, no less, was his warm up at Connect London where he gave a talk about Immersive Experiences.
Last night in London the VFX team attended the cast and crew screening of Curfew at the Courthouse Hotel. The TV series for Sky One follows a group of amateur drivers from all over the world compete in an illegal night-time street race.
Having originally only been brought in to do a CG Mclaren chase and crash sequence for episode 1, they ended up taking on loads of comp, FX and graphics work across the whole series. No biggie, then.
Our artists spent time mentoring student’s projects at escape studios for Onehub this week.
Our athletic, adrenaline junkie counterparts in LA were ridin’ dirty last week at their annual “Day in the Dirt”. Perfect weather, perfect BBQ and apart from Sean dislocating his elbow, a perfect day.
Hasta la vista, baby.
I’m as confused as you are by this one but great effort on the costume, dawg.
We can be serious too though..
Now I take you from hot dogs and dirt biking to mixing with Members of Parliament in London. The House of Commons hosted the Advertising Association Parliamentary Reception, where we introduced some of our immersive work to both MPs & leading brands as part of the Promote UK initiative.
